Feminist Intellectuals Reception

Join other feminist-minded faculty members from the GCWS Consortium at this social event to start the 2022-2023 academic year. There will be the opportunity to meet faculty from other institutions and disciplines and reconnect with colleagues from other institutions. There will also be the opportunity to learn more about GCWS, how to propose courses, and what we offer to faculty and students.

This reception is open to all faculty from GCWS member institutions (BC, BU, Brandeis, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, Tufts, Simmons, and UMass Boston). Please share our invitation with your colleagues and anyone you think may be interested.

Beverages and appetizers will be provided.

Parking:

• There are two large GTI pay lots on Albany Street which is $2.50 an hour. This parking lot is under I-93 and a 3 minute walk from the bookstore.

• Street parking is free after 6:00pm on most streets. .

Public Transit:

• 10 minute walk from Tufts Medical Center (orange line)

• 10 minute walk from Broadway (red line)

• 2 minute walk from intersection of Washington Street and E Berkeley. Take the 9, 11, 15, SL4, or SL5 here.

Covid To Know:

This event will be indoors at the More Than Words Bookstore. Staff from the bookstore and those associated with catering/beverages will be wearing masks. The entire HVAC system was replaced during covid to meet recommendations for air circulation and purification. Attendees need to be fully vaccinated (including at least one booster) and are encouraged to wear masks when not eating.
